Development Plan

DaDesktop Training Progression

  1. Organising Training Resources - Enhanced connectivity with instructor materials, participant notes, slides, and the like...
  2. Automatic Desktop Resource Scaling - Should either the participant or instructor's desktop exhaust its resources, scaling up (adding CPU, memory, disk) will occur seamlessly without halting the session
  3. Live Translated Subtitles - As an illustration, an instructor speaking English to Japanese learners allows participants to view real-time Japanese captions (available to users who have opted into 'Preview features')
  4. AI-Powered Simultaneous Interpretation - Japanese participants can hear the live Japanese interpretation while the instructor communicates in English
  5. Attendee Helper -  The system supports learners during lab activities by suggesting the 'next step,' alerting them of incorrect exercise execution, and delivering rapid feedback when they get stuck. Also known as the Participant Assistant Agent. (accessible in Preview features)
  6. Analytics - Course coordinators and stakeholders can monitor participant engagement

DaDesktop for Work (DD4W)

  1. Public Cloud Deployment - Presently DaDesktop for work is limited to private deployments; we will open dd4w to the broader public as a public cloud service
  2. Enhanced Encryption Integration - Currently, encryption configuration is managed solely by the OS; this enables users to integrate it with DaDesktop. A graphical interface would streamline the process (e.g., eliminating the need to manually enter a password since the system already identifies the user)
  3. Automatic Replica Switching - The system will automatically deploy or identify the nearest remote replica to reduce latency and elevate user experience

DaDesktop Labs & Self-Study

  1. The system provides users with feedback on their lab progress
  2. Creator Studio - Lab creators can effortlessly edit recordings online and align them with lab instructions, desktop templates, and additional assets (already available in Beta)
