Boosting Your Connection Performance
Occasionally, DaDesktop might alert you when your connection exhibits latency (delay) that could degrade performance.
If that happens, try the following steps to enhance your connection.

Steps to Improve
- If you can, connect via Ethernet. If you're on Wi-Fi, run an internet speed test beforehand, for instance at speedtest.net.
- Stay as close to the wireless access point as you can. Whenever feasible, use the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band rather than 2.4 GHz, since 2.4 GHz tends to be slower and more susceptible to interference.
- Turn off or disconnect any VPNs or proxies before entering the course.
- If possible, deactivate security software that might interfere with your network, as it can occasionally increase latency and slow your connection.
-
Participants might want to consult their company’s IT support, particularly if content filtering or network restrictions affect connectivity.
Adding these domains to your whitelist can be beneficial:
1. https://\*.npg.io (any host ending in .npg.io)
2. https://dd4t.dadesktop.com - Avoid heavy downloads or uploads during the session; if you can, postpone system updates (Windows, Mac, Linux) until the course ends.
-
Your connection should have speeds above 10 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload.
