PC Farm (Bare metal)

Beyond cloud-based offerings, DaDesktop also grants you access to bare-metal physical Desktops and Servers.

This setup is designed for scenarios where each participant gets a dedicated physical machine and has been applied in the following situations requiring access to:

1. an entire server without virtualization to meet performance or licensing needs (e.g., ONAP, OpenStack)
2. hardware that can't be virtualized, such as certain GPUs, Mellanox cards when firmware modifications are part of the curriculum, as well as other networking equipment, etc.

Additionally, this solution integrates with an existing physical classroom environment with only minor adjustments. This enables trainers to set up the classroom remotely, without needing to be on site.

The Cloud Desktop used in the cloud environment can be directly applied and deployed to the participants' physical machines.

Requirements for onsite deployment

This solution necessitates purchasing physical control cables (called ddnexus) at a cost of approximately 100 USD each for every Desktop.
